Training and workshops for Third Countries
The European Commission, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and with other institutions, has conducted since the year 2000 a series of training courses on the analysis of food and feed samples for the presence of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). The scope is to provide laboratory staff with the analytical biotechnology skills required in GMO testing, to help control laboratories properly implement facilities and expertise, and to promote the use of validated and harmonised methods for detecting, identifying and quantifying GMOs.
